The nuclear stakes…

August 16, 2007

Every political party knows that the benefits of nuke deal are immense. But, everyone wants the credit of this to accumulate to their party.

That is the core issue of this whole drama being played out. The communists want to somehow deny the credit to congress, the congress wants all the credit to accrue to sonia.

So, how will this pan out. Communists would negotiate for a large return in exchange for allowing the nuke deal to go through.

BJP is at the crossroads not knowing where to go. Unable to suggest but able to criticize.

It is all a fight to bag the credit….

Some Nice Pics of ART from India

July 4, 2007

The first two are Jute Bags and the third one is fine painting done on a smooth card. The jute bags shown here are basic models. More fashionable bags have fancy stuff like buckles and rings etc.

The painting work on the card is fine, exquisite and looks fabulous on a illuminated wall. It can be framed and hung on a wall. It is hand painted. In fact it looks great with contours of the elephant and the jewelry highlighted.

Nasscom President, Mr. Kiran Karnik said here in Bangalore that NON IT Sectors should raise salaries of their staff. This he feels will reduce the social disparity.

We would humbly like to ask the honourable gentlemen, Is it Ok if the manufacturing companies suffer losses ??

Rulers make the country.

If the above was true the Indian polity is governed by one single factor. Sycophancy.

While getting into the Govt. as a minister or an MP you need to be a party member and to be a party member you need to be loyal to not an ideology but to the leader.

If there is one single aspect which can be painted across the spectrum of Indian panorama, it all about being a sycophant to the boss. There is almost no space for the performing, honest politician or official.

This blog is all about ‘Life in India’ but the undercurrent is – who is loyal to whom.

This blog will be tracking events – events which have an impact on India, in essence which make up the life in India and personalities who play a role in the decision making and influence life in India.

The reason this issue is given importance is that unless India moves into a performance based society, and knowing how to handle poverty at the same time, we are destined to be a developing country.
